आधा लडाकु मात्रै परीक्षामा

सरोजराज अधिकारी  काठमाडौ, आश्विन २ - समायोजन रोजेर बसेका कुल पूर्वलडाकुमध्ये १ हजार ५ सय ४४ मात्र लिखित परीक्षामा सहभागी भएका छन् । यीमध्ये ८६ लडाकुले अधिकृतका लागि लिखित परीक्षा दिएका छन् ।

माओवादी सेनाका लडाकुको रेखदेख, समायोजन र पुनःस्थापनासम्बन्धी विशेष समितिका संयोजक बालानन्द शर्माका अनुसार अधिकृतका लागि चितवन र अन्य दर्जाका लागि विभिन्न शिविरमा सोमबार सम्पन्न लिखित परीक्षामा ६८ जना अनुपस्थित रहे । 'अब समायोजित हुनेको संख्या बढीमा १ हजार ५ सय ४४ हुनेछ । अनुपस्थित कोही पनि लिखित परीक्षामा सहभागी हुन पाउने छैनन्,' शर्माले भने ।

क्रममा ६८ जना अनुपस्थित रहेको शर्माले जनाए । बाँकी १ हजार ५ सय ११ जना स्वैच्छिक अवकाश रोजी चेक लिएर बाहिरिएका छन् । दुई जनाको निधन भइसकेकाले मृतकका परिवारलाई अवकाश हुँदा पाउने रकमबापतको चेक दिइएको शर्माले जनाए ।

Three-parent baby' fertility technique mulled in Britain

LONDON, Sept 17:  A fertility technique that uses DNA from three parents to create an embryo could become legal in Britain after a public consultation on its ethical implications was launched on Monday.

The results of the consultation will help inform a decision by the government on whether to legalize the technique as early as next year -- potentially making Britain the first country in the world to hold human trials into the treatment, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The IVF-based technique is designed to avoid serious mitochondrial diseases inherited on the maternal side, such as muscular dystrophy, by replacing some of the mitochondrial DNA with healthy DNA from the so-called "third parent".

Check distribution to former Maoist fighters concludes

SHAKTIKHOR (CHITWAN), Sept 16: The task of distributing checks to the former Maoist combatants opting for voluntary retirement concluded on Sunday.

Balanandar Shrama, coordinator at the secretariat of the Special Committee formed to oversee the task of integration and rehabilitation of former Maoist combatants, informed 1,507 combatants from all the seven cantonments had been given checks.

According to him, the number of combatants opting for integration into the Nepal Army (NA) has dropped to 1,412 and other 202 persons, who had earlier opted for voluntary retirement, didn´t appear to receive checks.

बा.१.ज ९२६८ । आरुबारी–रत्नपार्क रुटमा चल्ने एउटा माइक्रोबसको नम्बर हो यो । जसका चालक हुन्, काभ्रे, सल्लेभुम्लुका खड्गबहादुर श्रेष्ठ । ०४७ सालदेखि जीविकाका लागि गाडी चलाउन थालेका उनी ०५५ सालदेखि माओवादी जनयुद्धमा सामेल भए । र, उपनामले चिनिन थाले, ‘शरण’ का रुपमा । त्यहाँ उनले सैन्य फाँटमा काम गर्दै २५ भन्दा बढी मोर्चामा आफूलाई उभ्याए । तीनवटा मोर्चामा घाइते भए । माओवादी शान्तिप्रक्रियामा आएपछि पहिला देव गुरुङसँग थिए । तर, अध्यक्ष प्रचण्डका लागि भरपर्दो सवारी चालकको आवश्यकता परेपछि ०६३ असोज अन्तिम साताबाट उनले प्रचण्ड सवार हुने गाडी चलाउन शुरु गरे । र, त्यहाँबाट ०६६ सालमा उनले मनभरि विरक्तिको पहाड बोकेर प्रचण्ड निवासलाई बाइबाइ गरे । उनी माओवादी लडाकुको तेस्रो डिभिजनअन्तर्गत थिए । तर, प्रमाणिकरणको प्रक्रियामा किरण पक्षधर लडाकुले त्यो प्रक्रियालाई नै अस्वीकार गरे । त्यसको अगुवाई शरणले नै गरे । एकीकृत माओवादीको वाइसिएल भनेजस्तो नेकपा–माओवादीसम्बद्ध युवा संगठन स्वयंसेवक व्युरोका उनी काभ्रे संयोजक हुन् ,।

प्रेमविवाह गरेका एमाले नेता

पछिल्लो समय मायाप्रेम नेपाली समाजमा पनि पच्न थालेको हो कि भन्ने लाग्छ । प्रेमविवाह गर्नेको संख्या ह्वात्तै बढेकाले पनि यस्तो अनुमान गर्न सकिन्छ । केही पहिलेसम्म भने प्रेमविवाह गर्नु फलामको चिउरा चपाएजस्तै हुन्थ्यो । तर, पनि त्यही समय एमालेका प्रायः नेताले प्रेमविवाह गरे । त्यो पनि पार्टीको स्वीकृति लिएर ।
नेपालमा कम्युनिस्ट पार्टीभित्र प्रेमविवाह २००७ सालपछि नै सुरु भएको देखिन्छ । संस्कृति र समाजसँगै जोडिएको विषय हो प्रेमविवाह पनि । यसका अतिरिक्त राजनीतिक-आर्थिक विकासको अवस्थासँग पनि प्रेमविवाह जोडिएको छ । आजभन्दा केही समयअघि पनि प्रेमविवाह गर्न समाजमा धेरै ठूलो विद्रोेह गर्नुपथ्र्यो । ००७ सालपछि कानुनी रूपले प्रेमविवाह गर्ने बाटो त खुल्यो तर सामाजिक अड्चन भने कायम नै थियो ।
