थबाङमा 'प्रचण्डलाई बास छैन'

दुर्गालाल केसी , थबाङ (रोल्पा), कार्तिक २१ - कुनै समय थबाङका हरेक घर माओवादीका सेल्टर हुन्थे । पुष्पकमल दाहाल 'प्रचण्ड' भनेपछि खाना खुवाउन तँछाडमछाड गर्नेहरूको लाइन लाग्थ्यो । तर अहिले थबाङका कुनै घर उनलाई बास दिन तयार छैनन् । बरु उनी आए कालोझन्डा देखाउने भन्दैछन् ।
माओवादीले युद्धकालमा राजधानी मान्दै आएको थबाङमा अहिले एमाओवादीका गतिविधिमा अघोषित प्रतिबन्धजस्तै छ ।

एकैछानामुनि ३७ जना

नयाँ पत्रिका/कैलाली .दुई भाइसमेत एकै परिवारमा मिलेर बस्न नसक्नेहरूका लागि कैलाली लालबोझी-५ का कालिराम चौधरीको परिवार उदाहरण हुनसक्छ । उनको परिवारमा ३७ जना एउटै छानामुनि बस्छन् । उनीहरू भान्छा पनि एउटै प्रयोग गर्छन् ।
कालिराम चौधरीका चार छोराका ३७ जना सन्तान एउटै छानामुनि छन् । चौधरीको जेठो छोरो रामलौटनले घरमुलीको कार्यभार सम्हालेका छन् । एक भाइ खेतीको काम सकेर रोजगारीका लागि भारत गएका छन् । अर्को भाइको औषधि पसल छ । बाँकी घरमा नै खेतिपातीको काम गर्छन् । 'सबै संयुक्त परिवारमा मिलेर बसेका छाँै, निकै रमाइलो भएको छ,' रामलौटनले भने, 'एउटै परिवारमा कहीलेकाहीँ झैझगडा हुनु सामान्य हो, त्यसलाई घरमै बसेर मिलाउने गरेका छाँै ।'

CPN-Maoist CC Members Press Leadership For Forming Army

KATHMANDU, Nov 4: Almost all members airing their views at the ongoing central committee meeting of newly-formed CPN-Maoist have exerted pressure on the party leadership to clearly announce that the party will have its army, while the party chairman in his political document presented at the meeting said the party will form an "armed force" when deemed necessary.
The party´s central committee members are in favor of forming a separate army of the party not by establishing a new force from a scratch but by reorganizing the former People´s Liberation Army (PLA) personnel-YCL cadres, disqualified PLAs during the UN verifications and those who opted for voluntary retirements in the integration process. They had fought against the security forces during the decade-long Maoists´ ´people´s war´.

CPN-Maoist names new principal enemy

KATHMANDU, Nov 1: In a major policy shift, the CPN-Maoist, the breakaway faction of the UCPN (Maoist), has named a combination of political, bureaucratic and ´comprador´ capitalist elements ´protected and guided by Indian expansionists´ as its principal enemy.

According to a political document presented at its central committee meeting by party Chairman Mohan Baidya this past week, the main contemporary contradiction of the Nepali people is with compradors, bureaucrats and capitalists guided and protected by Indian expansionists.

The newly-formed Maoist party also said that a significant change in the political and social situation seen during the past two years had compelled the party to redefine its principal enemy.

Defining of a principal enemy in a communist party´s official document carries special significance because all the activities of such a party are designed and executed to defeat the "principal enemy".

UCPN (Maoist) An Opportunist Party: Baidya

KATHMANDU, Oct 31: Categorizing the parties on the basis of their political character, the CPN-Maoist has labeled the UCPN (Maoist) as a “rightist-revisionist and opportunist” party, claiming the latter has undertaken various anti-national and anti-people activities such as the BIPPA agreement. 

Presenting the party´s political document at the party central committee meeting in Buddhanagar on Monday, party Chairman Mohan Baidya said that the UCPN (Maoist) is the biggest danger for the Nepali communist movement. He also accused the party of confusing the communists and the people. 

"The document does not explicitly name the parties but only hints at them. This has been done deliberately as there is a compulsion to talk them," said a central committee member of CPN-Maoist. 

CPN-Maoist Formally Decides Thapa As Party's PM Candidate

KATHMANDU, Oct 30: Claiming itself to be the third alternative political force in the country, CPN-Maoist has formally announced the party´s General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa as their candidate for the post of new prime minister.

During a meeting of the party´s central committee at party headquarters in Buddha Nagar on Monday, the party also called on the Baburam Bhattarai-led government to step down without further delay and that political dialogue should be held on the formation of the new government and its leader. 
Talking to Republica, the party´s secretary Netra Bikram Chand said Thapa should be given the post of prime minister for four different reasons.
