२३ वैशाख, काठमाडौं । राजधानीमा यतिखेर सिरिसको फूलको चर्चा व्यापक बनेको छ । एकातिर साहित्यकार पारिजातको चर्चित उपन्यास ‘सिरिसको फूल’मा निर्मित चलचित्रको प्रशर्दनी सुरु भएको छ भने अर्कोतर्फ चलचित्रको प्रदर्शनीकै बेला पारेर राजधानीका सडक छेऊमा ढकमक्क सिरिस फुलेर भूइँमा झरिरहेको छ । विशेषगरी नारायणहिटी वरपरको दृश्य मनमोहक बनेको छ ।

'Disappeared' ex-PLA man held in dual benefit case

SOLUKHUMBU, May 3: A man who was ´disappeared´ by the state during the Maoist insurgency has been found to have holed up in a Maoist cantonment for several years.
The police have arrested Sita Ram Rai, 24, a resident of Deusa VDC-5 of Solukhumbu district, as his father had accepted Rs 100,000, which is given by the government to the families of those who went missing during the war, even though Sita Ram was drawing his salary as a former Maoist combatant in a Sindhuli-based cantonment.

UCPN (Maoist)´s chief of the international bureau Ram Karki and CPN-UML Central Committee member Ghanashyam Bhusal while addressing the gathering organized on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of establishment of communist party in Nepal, dissected several aspects on why communist parties mushroomed in the country but failed to make sustained efforts in uplifting the people from the real downtrodden communities.

घरभित्र छिर्दा आहाल नै जम्छ । त्यसैले चन्द्रबहादुर घर्तीको परिवारसमक्ष रुझेर रात काट्नुको विकल्प हुँदैन । सानैमा आमा-बुबा गुमाएर टुहुरो बनेका उनी ससुरालीले दिएको सानो टहरोमा बस्दै आएका छन् । वरिपरि सुँगुर, बाख्रा र कुखुरा राखेर परिवारले खाना पकाएर खाने गरेका छन् । उनको चार जनाको परिवार त्यही झुप्रोमा अटेको छ । खेतबारी नहुँदा जंगली कन्दमूलको भरमा परिवारले सास अल्झाउँदै आएको छ ।
